Definition: An immensely filled novel containing 557 pages of historical context and references to World War 2. A thoroughly enjoyable storyline and really emphasises the difficult war both externally and interally the main characters must face to survive during this time period. Elzunia is just a young girl, who's already sacrificed so much in her life in order to help those around her, she experiences and knows of how traumatic bombings and the soldiers mistreat of young children and the eldery are, but regardless she stands up for whats right. She hasn't even experienced a proper education, yet has mentally grown up so fast. Even daily getting food is a hassle for kids - in our society now we just open our pantry and wa la food of all sorts, even just taking the car to the shops and buying whatever we please, provided we have enough money. However back in the day of the wars, going outside was dangerous enough, let alone to a shop which probably didnt exist as it was probably bombed or shut down due to the owners safety. Money was another factor which caused a major issue. Obviously you need money before you can buy food, but with your money being stolen or you needing to escape to safety urgently, how is it possible to have enough money to survive for a month? let alone the period of time this war lasted.. years!
this novel really touches my heart as it has opened my eyes to realise how fortunate i am to be living in a country where your freedom is allowed, i have the opportunity to learn, see friends, have money and without the worries of randomly being attacked if i just step outside my house. it's also encouraged me a bit to just appreciate the people the items i possess.
i really admire this novels which have more of a purpose than to just entertain audiences - they assist you into wondering about the world and society around you, the people, events that occur which affect the way you think, the actions you do and how you view yourself. it also affects everyones lifestyle and opinions, values and beliefs in a more wider perspective too. i ought to read more novels whether fiction or non-fiction to widen my knowledge and broaden my horizons (my brain being the horizon).

on an alternative note, im currently researching about leaves that i cut off plants around our school yesterday, period 2. they look pretty but seriously, researching leaves?!?! biology does suck haha.
still a bit devo about not being able to attend the school social, but after hearing that not so many people from our own school are going, i do feel a bit better. regardless, i hope everyone who does go really enjoy themselves and take care! also take lots of photos just for meeee :D
& mei-sze i really hope you're feeling better! the 6 pack on your neck still remains to be quite sexyyym just like yourself i might add. lols :]

this better not become a daily ritual because i tend to blab so much like this and if it does become a daily ritual, will result me in writing essays of blab. technically not an essay but a whole glob of gooey things haha!
